    Here is an old theory about link weight I call link insurance. Most pages you will note, are leveraged by one of two things;

    1) great internal link structure to support the perpetuation of controled anchor text over time.

    2) off page augmentation.

    This briefly goes into both with emphasis on building links to your links to ping the link freshness factor to stay bouyant until the links age and authority kicks in.
